Not every gig you look forward to end up as you expect it will be.

Micheal said to me first thing today do I want to go into his school and help the djing for his school sports day and of course I said yes. I love playing and it really doesn't matter who I play to most of the time. So I expected a bit of fun and interaction. Of course in this case and others someone there doesn't want you there or wants to spoil your fun. Now I did get full permission from the headmaster but 1 teacher had other ideas, "only radio versions" he says. Well of course what would I play. I'm not a fool, I do know where I am. I'm really not a child and I can still play to who ever is in front of me and  still enjoy this. But who did this teacher say this too, well micheal of course, because he is a teacher and your classic god syndrom case, do you think he would say that to me, well no because I am an adult and can speak to him on his own level, even if it is in the clouds!!! People who talk down to others like a teenager in this way and are really not god but cowards!! So what happens next, well I did play chart music but I wanted to do a little scratching as well. Its fun, teenagers dont see it so ofter other than movies and I got some attention. Then comes the teacher "there will be no scratching here" to micheal, not me, what did I do, turn myself off!! I'm there to have fun but comments like this I don't need. What would he know about it, is it honestly so bad, are peole injoying it, yes. Is it illigal, no. Will it couse the teenagers to go out and couse trouble, no. Is it interesting, yes.

This is a commen thing to happen to a dj or band, you arrive on expecting one thing and you maybe so much " can you turn it down" etc and maybe if you turn it down anymore it might as well be turned off!!

I am an outgoing dj, please don't ask me to play when you really want a stereo in the corner!
